Role Summary

We&aposre seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive sales of our OpenBio platform to pharmaceutical companies, biotech startups, academic institutions, and research organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Pipeline Development: Build and manage sales pipeline targeting pharma, biotech, and academic markets
• Relationship Building: Establish partnerships with key decision-makers in R&D, bioinformatics, and computational biology teams
• Product Positioning: Articulate technical value propositions to both scientific and business stakeholders
• Market Expansion: Identify new market segments and use cases for computational biology tools
• Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets through strategic account management

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years in B2B/B2C software sales, preferably in life sciences/biotech
• Technical Acumen: Understanding of bioinformatics, drug discovery workflows, or scientific computing
• Track Record: Proven success in selling SaaS/platform solutions to technical buyers
• Communication: Ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Network: Existing relationships in pharma/biotech/academia preferred

Ideal Candidate

• Background in life sciences, computational biology, or related field (Not mandatory)
• Background in B2B/B2C software sales
• Experience with enterprise software sales cycles (6-18 months)
• Comfortable with technical demos and scientific discussions
• High energy and agency
