Business Development Executive – Background Verification

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the background verification and employee screening domain.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through cold calls, emails, networking, and industry events.
• Understand client requirements and present customized background verification solutions.
• Conduct client meetings (in-person or virtual), prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
• Collaborate with operations and product teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and service delivery.
• Track market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to inform business strategy.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM systems.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, HR, or related field.
• 25 years of experience in business development, preferably in B2B services like background verification, staffing, HR tech, or compliance.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to understand technical services and articulate their value to clients.
• Proven experience in generating leads and closing deals.
• Comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
• Proficient with MS Office and CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce).

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Existing network of HR decision-makers and talent acquisition heads.
• Understanding of employment laws and compliance issues.
• Experience in selling SaaS or subscription-based services.
