As a Lead People Solutions and Advice Infrastructure for India and Sri Lanka (Employee Relations) at HSBC, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and streamlining policies and procedures to ensure alignment with local employment legislative provisions and the HSBC Group framework. Your strategic advice on People Solutions and Advice aspects will be instrumental in guiding HR teams and the business on a wide variety of employment matters while identifying associated risks. Leveraging your in-depth knowledge of labor laws and Group Policies, you will provide strategic inputs and resolutions for complex Employee Relations issues to ensure compliance with regulations and Group standards. Understanding the business requirements and policies will enable you to provide strategic inputs and resolutions aligned with local employment legislative provisions and the HSBC Group framework. You will also offer strategic guidance for the development and implementation of Business Change/Transformation programs, partnering for their execution and providing innovative solutions for effective resolution of challenges. By overseeing PS&A service delivery metrics and engaging with legal counsels, you will ensure effective management of relationships and litigation strategies related to employment disputes. Your role will involve foreseeing critical Employee Relations situations, advising HR and Business on implications, defining mitigation mechanisms, and providing mentorship to team members for professional service delivery and skill development. Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in employment laws will be crucial to ensuring compliance and maintaining a competitive employee relations strategy. As a point of escalation, you will coach and provide guidance for HR colleagues and Business Stakeholders on complex concerns and whistleblowing investigations. Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and ensuring compliance with legal requirements will be essential in your role. By partnering with the Risk Team for periodic risk assessments and developing action plans, you will contribute to maintaining a culture where all employees are valued, respected, and opinions count.
