Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP BW and Datasphere Consultant with a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing complex data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in SAP BW (on HANA and/or BW/4HANA) , with practical experience in SAP Datasphere (formerly Data Warehouse Cloud) . This role demands excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills along with a deep understanding of SAP data models and architecture. Role & responsibilities: Lead and deliver end-to-end SAP BW projects, including design, development, and deployment. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using SAP BW and Datasphere. Design and optimize data models (InfoProviders, CompositeProviders, ADSOs, MultiProviders, Open ODS Views, etc.). Develop data extraction strategies using standard and custom extractors (LO, FI, COPA, SD, MM, etc.). Implement and maintain ETL processes using BW data flows and DataSources. Work with BW on HANA/BW/4HANA modeling and performance tuning techniques. Integrate SAP Datasphere with SAP and non-SAP systems for modern cloud-based analytics. Develop views in Datasphere and enable data consumption via SAC or third-party BI tools. Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and BI teams for successful data delivery. Monitor and resolve issues related to data loads, performance, and reporting inconsistencies. Provide mentoring to junior team members and conduct technical knowledge-sharing sessions. Preferred candidate profile: SAP BW (Primary Focus): Strong expertise in SAP BW 7.x , SAP BW on HANA , and SAP BW/4HANA Advanced data modeling (ADSO, CompositeProviders, Open ODS Views, etc.) Deep knowledge of ETL processes and data extraction techniques from SAP and non-SAP systems Proficiency in ABAP routines , user exits , and custom enhancements Expertise in BEx Queries , Analysis for Office (AO) , and integration with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Performance tuning, data volume management, and system optimization techniques Experience in migration from legacy BW to BW/4HANA SAP Datasphere: Working knowledge of SAP Datasphere data modeling, connection setup, and data flow design Integration experience with SAP S/4HANA , SAC , and other cloud or on-premise data sources Understanding of Spaces , Data Builder , Business Builder , and remote table access Experience in data federation , replication , and virtualization strategies Additional Skills: Knowledge of SAP HANA native modeling (Calculation Views, CDS views is a plus) Familiarity with SAC or other visualization tools for report consumption Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and client-facing abilities Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
