We are improving our digital customer journeys, lender integrations, and internal systems to make applications easier to complete and operations easier to manage.

About the Role

RupeeQ is looking for a Business Analyst who can understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements for design, development, and testing teams.

You will work closely with founders, business teams, sales, operations, and technology teams across our website, mobile app, LMS/CRM, and lender integrations. This is a hands-on role requiring process understanding, structured documentation, analytical thinking, and consistent follow-through.

Key Responsibilities1. Gather & Clarify Business Requirements

● Conduct discussions with stakeholders to understand objectives, current processes, and operational challenges.

● Convert broad ideas into clearly defined requirements, workflows, and expected outcomes.

● Identify missing information, conflicting requirements, dependencies, and assumptions.

● Distinguish essential requirements from future enhancements.

● Confirm requirements with relevant stakeholders before development begins.

2. Prepare Practical Documentation

● Create and maintain business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

● Prepare process flows, user journeys, field definitions, business rules, and exception scenarios.

● Define validation rules, statuses, notifications, role-based access, and reporting requirements.

● Document what should happen when information is missing, an application fails, or a user needs to retry.

● Maintain requirement versions and record agreed changes.

3. Map Lending & Customer Journeys

● Document journeys from lead capture and eligibility checks through lender offers, application submission, verification, and disbursement tracking.

● Map API-based journeys and cases requiring manual processing.

● Capture lender-specific eligibility rules, document requirements, and application stages.

● Work with business owners to clarify policy rules and ensure approved rules are documented accurately.

● Identify process gaps, unnecessary steps, and opportunities for automation.

4. Support Website, App & LMS/CRM Development

● Translate business needs into requirements that designers and developers can implement.

● Review wireframes and prototypes for workflow completeness.

● Define internal processes for lead allocation, follow-ups, application tracking, escalations, and dashboards.

● Clarify requirements throughout development and help resolve functional questions.

● Check that proposed solutions address the original business problem.

5. Coordinate Lender & Third-Party Integrations

● Work with internal teams and integration partners to understand API workflows and dependencies.

● Review API documentation with developers and document field mappings and business behaviour.

● Define handling for responses, errors, duplicate requests, pending statuses, and callbacks.

● Track integration questions and follow up with the responsible stakeholders.

● Document customer consent and disclosure requirements provided by the relevant compliance and business teams.

6. Support Testing & User Acceptance

● Prepare UAT scenarios linked to agreed requirements and acceptance criteria.

● Coordinate testing with business users, QA, and development teams.

● Validate normal journeys, exception cases, calculations, and business rules.

● Record defects clearly, explain their business impact, and track resolution.

● Support business sign-off and verify that agreed requirements are met before release.

● Help teams understand new features and updated processes.

7. Analyse Data & Track Improvements

● Use Excel and SQL to investigate business questions and validate data.

● Define clear metrics for lead conversion, application completion, turnaround time, and operational performance.

● Help specify dashboards and reports, including calculation logic and data sources.

● Analyse application drop-offs, repeated errors, and process delays.

● Recommend improvements supported by evidence.

8. Manage Priorities & Stakeholder Coordination

● Maintain a structured requirement backlog and support prioritisation.

● Track open decisions, dependencies, scope changes, and delivery risks.

● Communicate progress and unresolved questions clearly.

● Coordinate across business, sales, operations, design, development, and QA.

● Follow requirements through implementation and post-release feedback.

Required Skills & Experience

● 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or in a similar technology-facing role.

● Experience gathering requirements and supporting software or digital product delivery.

● Ability to prepare clear BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

● Strong understanding of process mapping, business rules, and exception handling.

● Good proficiency in Excel, including lookups, pivot tables, and data validation.

● Working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data.

● Ability to understand REST API concepts, JSON structures, and integration workflows.

● Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent documentation and task-management platforms.

● Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.

● Ability to manage multiple requirements and follow up independently.

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience in fintech, lending, banking, NBFCs, insurance, or financial services.

● Understanding of loan eligibility, KYC, underwriting stages, disbursement, and application tracking.

● Experience with LMS, CRM, customer onboarding, or lender integrations.

● Familiarity with Postman, process-mapping tools, and Figma for reviewing workflows.

● Experience supporting UAT, product launches, and process automation.

● Familiarity with dashboards, conversion funnels, and operational reporting.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
