Business Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities

1. E-Commerce Performance Analysis

• Monitor and analyze key e-commerce metrics, including sales, conversion rates, traffic, average order value (AOV), and customer acquisition costs.
• Track daily, weekly, and monthly performance of online sales channels.
• Identify trends, opportunities, and risks affecting e-commerce business performance.
• Develop dashboards and reports for management review.

2. Business Intelligence & Reporting

• Collect, validate, and interpret data from e-commerce marketplaces.
• Create MIS reports, sales forecasts, and performance scorecards.
• Provide actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Present business findings to leadership and cross-functional teams.

3. Customer Behavior Analysis

• Analyze customer purchasing patterns, browsing behavior, and retention rates.
• Identify customer segments and recommend targeted marketing strategies.
• Evaluate customer journey and highlight areas for experience improvement.
• Monitor customer feedback, reviews, and satisfaction metrics.

4. Sales & Revenue Optimization

• Analyze product performance and recommend actions to maximize online sales.
• Support pricing, promotion, and discount strategy evaluations.
• Track campaign effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).
• Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and increase revenue.

5. Product Assortment & Inventory Analysis

• Monitor product availability, stock turnover, and inventory performance across e-commerce channels.
• Recommend assortment optimization based on demand trends and sales performance.
• Collaborate with merchandising and planning teams to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory.
• Analyze product category profitability and sales contribution.

6. Marketplace & Digital Channel Management

• Evaluate performance across marketplaces, brand websites, mobile applications, and social commerce platforms.
• Track online product listings, visibility, and competitive positioning.
• Identify opportunities for expansion into new digital sales channels.
• Monitor marketplace compliance and seller performance metrics.

7. Process Improvement & Automation

• Analyze existing business processes and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Participate in automation and digital transformation initiatives.
• Identify system gaps and propose solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with marketing, merchandising, supply chain, IT, customer service, and finance teams.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to implement data-driven business improvements.

9. Forecasting & Planning

• Develop sales forecasts and demand projections for online channels.
• Support annual budgeting and business planning exercises.
• Analyze seasonality, market trends, and customer demand patterns.
• Assist management in preparing growth strategies and expansion plans.

10. Data Governance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of e-commerce and business data.
• Establish reporting standards and data validation processes.
• Monitor data quality across integrated systems and platforms.
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 4-8 years of experience in E-commerce domain required.
• Strong understanding of Performance Analysis, Market Place, Pricing Strategy, Inventory Management, and E-commerce concepts.
• Manufacturing Industry preferred
