Business Analyst / Quality Assurance (BA/QA)

Location: The selected candidate is required to work onsite for the initial 1 to 3-month project training and execution period at either our Kovilpatti or Chennai location, which will be confirmed during the onboarding process. After the initial period, remote work opportunities will be offered.

The Business Analyst / QA professional will play a dual role in bridging business requirements with technical execution while ensuring delivery quality and compliance. This role demands strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of digital workflows, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to gather and validate requirements, map out process flows, create user stories, and ensure solution integrity through rigorous testing and quality controls.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit and define business needs
• Document detailed business and functional requirements, process flows, and user journeys
• Translate requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria for agile teams
• Design and execute test cases (manual and automated) to validate feature development
• Lead sprint reviews and UAT sessions, ensuring business needs are met
• Maintain traceability from requirement to test case to defect resolution
• Manage product backlogs and support agile ceremonies (refinement, demos, retrospectives)
• Act as liaison between business, development, QA, and DevOps teams
• Analyze production defects and perform root cause analysis
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and data privacy standards

Technical Skills:

• Tools: Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Postman, MS Visio, MS Teams
• BA Tools: Balsamiq, Figma (for wireframes), BPMN tools for process modeling
• QA Tools: Selenium, Katalon, TestRail, Cypress (nice to have)
• Methodologies: Agile/Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD integration
• Testing Types: Functional, Regression, Integration, UAT, API testing
• Data: Basic SQL for data validation, ETL testing understanding preferred

Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
• Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus
• Experience working with agile teams in a hybrid onshoreoffshore model
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience in state/federal government project environments highly desirable
