Building Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance electrician responsibilities include installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, and equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Key tasks involve troubleshooting faults, performing preventive maintenance, installing new components, adhering to safety and electrical codes, and maintaining detailed records of their work. Core Responsibilities

• Installation and Repair:Installing new electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and components, and performing necessary repairs and replacements.
• Inspection and Testing:Regularly inspecting electrical systems, testing components (like wiring, circuit breakers, and transformers), and diagnosing issues to ensure safety and functionality.
• Troubleshooting:Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving electrical malfunctions and faults in various equipment and systems.
• Preventive Maintenance:Conducting routine preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to prevent future issues and ensure continuous operation.

Technical & Safety Aspects

• Reading Schematics:Interpreting and reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand system layouts and guide work.
• Safety Compliance:Adhering strictly to all local, state, national, and OSHA electrical codes, safety regulations, and established safety protocols.
• Tool and Equipment Use:Utilizing a variety of hand and power tools and testing devices (e.g., voltmeters, ammeters) to perform maintenance and repair tasks.

Administrative & Operational Tasks

• Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all maintenance, inspections, and repair work performed.
• Collaboration:Working effectively with other technicians, engineers, and maintenance staff on complex projects.
• Inventory Management:Managing and ordering necessary electrical parts and supplies for efficient workflow.
• Emergency Response:Responding promptly to emergency repair requests and breakdowns to minimize downtime.
