Job Description: You are an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Functional Tester with up to 2 years of experience (including internships) in manual testing, ready to join our QA team in Bangalore, India. Your primary responsibility will be to validate software functionality against business requirements, identify defects, and ensure that the product meets expected standards. You will be expected to understand functional requirements and create test scenarios and test cases, execute test cases manually, and report bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar. Collaboration with developers and business analysts is crucial to clarify and understand requirements. Your role will also involve participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, as well as maintaining proper documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results. Basic regression, smoke, and sanity testing will also be a part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should have a basic understanding of SDLC and STLC, good knowledge of test design techniques and test case preparation, exposure to bug-tracking tools (preferably JIRA), and the ability to write simple SQL queries to validate data. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with clear communication (both verbal and written), are essential for success. While a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, it is not mandatory. Having an ISTQB Foundation Level Certification is optional but advantageous. Exposure to Agile methodology would also be a plus for this role.,
