Supervise day-to-day operations and maintenance activities of electrical systems (HT, LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS, APFC panels, etc.). Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for DG sets, transformers, and switchgear as per OEM guidelines. Monitor energy consumption, load distribution, and take corrective measures for efficiency improvement. Troubleshoot and attend to electrical breakdowns to minimize downtime. Maintain records of logbooks, breakdown history, PM checklists, and statutory compliance reports. Coordinate with external vendors, service contractors, and statutory authorities for inspections and approvals. Ensure statutory compliance for HT/LT systems, DG emissions, and electrical safety norms. Train and guide junior technicians in safe work practices, lockout-tagout (LOTO), and use of PPE. Maintain adequate stock of spares, consumables, and ensure timely indents. Support Facility/Engineering Manager in preparing budgets, MIS, and audit documentation.
