You will be involved in the development of a new secure browser that aims to provide safe and fast internet browsing experience, along with a built-in marketplace for verified vendors. As a Browser Developer, your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the building process using Chromium as the base platform. Your main tasks will include building and customizing the browser based on Chromium, ensuring its seamless performance on Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems, integrating new features such as a vendor marketplace and security layers, collaborating closely with the security and UI teams, addressing and resolving bugs to maintain the browser's speed and security standards. To excel in this role, you should possess substantial experience working with Chromium source code and browser development, have a strong command of C++, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS, demonstrate proficiency in developing applications for MacOS, Windows, and Linux, exhibit an understanding of browser security, sandboxing, and privacy features, familiarity with Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) would be advantageous, proficiency in Git and version control systems is essential, and the ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively. Additional skills that would be beneficial for this role include experience in developing browser extensions, knowledge of network protocols such as HTTPS, WebSocket, etc., familiarity with OAuth, SSO, and secure login systems, and prior experience working on security products or privacy-focused applications.
