As a Senior Associate Fund/Client Accounting at BNY, you will play a vital role in conducting accounting services for assigned clients and moderately complex funds. Your responsibilities will include determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports. You will drive Service Improvement plans, target efficiencies, enhance processes, and provide specialist review functions. Additionally, you will provide guidance on cash and asset reconciliations for complex accounts, resolve reconciliation issues, and review the work of junior team members. You will be responsible for drafting reports for clients regarding the performance of complex funds, reviewing draft reports completed by junior staff, and interacting regularly with clients to address questions and resolve issues related to fund reports and accounting processes. Furthermore, you will assist in evaluating GAAP and/or IFRS rules to determine the impact of new regulations on BNY Mellon fund accounting practices. To excel in this role, you should ideally have 5-7 years of total work experience, with preference given to those with experience in brokerage processing and a background in a Big 4 accounting firm. As a Senior Vice President, Client Processing Manager at BNY, you will have the opportunity to manage a medium to large-sized team or multiple small Client Processing teams. Your responsibilities will include handling all aspects of client accounts, such as solicitation, inquiries, transactional processing, and problem resolution. You will serve as a top level of support for external clients and ensure that the work produced meets product/service and quality standards. Additionally, you will identify and implement process improvements to enhance the experience for all stakeholders. In this role, you will recruit, direct, motivate, and develop staff to maximize their individual contribution, professional growth, and ability to work effectively as a team. You will provide input into departmental budgets and planning, as well as contribute to the achievement of team objectives. You should have 12 to 15 years of total work experience with at least 5-6 years in management, along with experience in brokerage processing.
