Role Overview The Purchase Executive will be responsible for end-to-end procurement activities including vendor management, material sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation, purchase order preparation, and coordination with project, design, and accounts teams to ensure timely material availability for ongoing projects. Key Responsibilities Source and procure materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements. Prepare and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) to vendors and suppliers. Evaluate quotations based on price, quality, delivery, and payment terms. Negotiate with vendors to achieve cost-effective procurement. Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain proper documentation in the ERP / Odoo system. Coordinate with project and site teams for material requirements and delivery schedules. Follow up with suppliers for dispatch, delivery, and logistics coordination. Verify bills and delivery challans before forwarding to accounts for payment. Develop and maintain vendor database with performance records. Ensure purchase activities comply with company policies and approval hierarchies. Support management in periodic cost analysis, procurement planning, and vendor audits. Maintain records of stock, lead time, and inventory control to prevent shortages or overstocking. Work closely with the Design and Project Execution teams for technical specification alignment. Required Skills & Competencies Strong technical understanding of MEPF materials (HVAC, fire, plumbing, electrical). Proficient in vendor sourcing, cost negotiation, and purchase management. Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and ERP systems (Odoo preferred). Excellent communication and coordination skills. Attention to detail and strong follow-up ability. Analytical thinking with basic commercial and taxation understanding (GST, delivery terms, etc.). Team player with discipline and accountability. Job Title: PMC Engineer (Project Management Consultant Engineer) Location: Thaltej, Ahmedabad / Project Sites (as per requirement) Department: Project Management Reporting To: Project Manager / Director Projects Position Objective To manage, monitor, and control EPC project execution activities on behalf of the client and BAPL managementensuring adherence to scope, time, cost, quality, and safety standards. The PMC Engineer will act as the technical and managerial bridge between design, procurement, and construction teams, driving project success from planning to handover. Key Roles & Responsibilities 1. Project Planning & Coordination Assist in preparing project execution plans, timelines, and milestone charts. Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to align deliverables. Conduct periodic project review meetings and prepare action trackers. Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors for approvals and technical clarity. 2. Engineering & Documentation Control Review and verify drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and design revisions. Ensure interdisciplinary coordination among MEPF services (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire). Maintain control on drawing submittals, RFIs, MOMs, and documentation logs. Ensure design compliance with IS/NBC/ASHRAE and project standards. 3. Procurement & Material Management Review material submittals and vendor documents for technical approval. Track procurement status and delivery schedules. Inspect material quality and conformity at site before installation. Coordinate with the purchase department for vendor evaluation and finalization. 4. Site Execution Supervision Monitor daily progress of site work and ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications. Certify site measurements, work quality, and resource deployment. Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports and highlight delays or bottlenecks. Ensure smooth coordination between civil and MEP works for interface management. 5. Quality, Safety & Compliance Implement QA/QC checklists and maintain inspection records. Conduct site inspections with client/consultant and close NCRs or punch points. Enforce HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) practices and compliance on site. Participate in toolbox talks, audits, and ensure incident reporting. 6. Cost & Schedule Control Track project progress against baseline schedules. Review contractor bills, verify quantities, and recommend payment certifications. Identify scope deviations and support variation or change order preparation. Assist in cost control, forecasting, and delay analysis. 7. Commissioning & Handover Supervise testing, commissioning, and system performance verification. Ensure closure of snag lists and submission of as-built drawings. Review O&M manuals and facilitate client training. Ensure complete documentation for project handover. Qualifications & Experience Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering Experience: 5 - 12 years in EPC / MEPF project execution or PMC role Preferred Background: Industrial, Commercial, or Institutional projects Technical Skills: Knowledge of MEPF systems and coordination Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project / Primavera, and Excel-based trackers Understanding of QA/QC, HSE, and project documentation Key Competencies Strong project coordination and communication skills Leadership in multi-disciplinary team environments Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability Detail orientation and documentation discipline Commitment to deadlines and professional integrity Work Environment Based at BAPL Head Office with frequent travel to project sites (India/overseas).
