About the Role We are seeking a Consultant – Process Engineering (Flow Chemistry & Batch Process) to lead process design, simulation, documentation, and commissioning activities within a globally distributed pharma project team. This high-impact role involves guiding scale-up projects, ensuring compliance with international standards, and driving innovation in both batch and continuous processing technologies. Key Responsibilities Act as a technical advisor for process design, scale-up, and technology transfer in pharmaceutical/chemical projects. Review and validate process design deliverables (BFD, PFD, P&ID, mass & energy balance, equipment sizing, safety studies). Provide expertise in flow chemistry and batch process development for R&D, pilot, and commercial manufacturing. Guide teams on process safety (HAZOP, LOPA, risk assessments) and ensure compliance with international standards (ICH, GMP, EHS). Support client interactions by providing technical presentations, process solutions, and optimization strategies. Assist in vendor selection and equipment specifications for critical process systems. Troubleshoot process issues and recommend improvements in yield, efficiency, and safety. Mentor and train engineers, building internal capabilities in advanced process engineering. Contribute to business development through technical proposals, solution presentations, and client consulting. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent). 15+ years of proven experience in process engineering, design, and consulting within the pharmaceutical/chemical industry. Deep expertise in flow chemistry, batch process scale-up, and continuous manufacturing. Strong command of process design calculations (reaction engineering, heat & mass transfer, hydraulics, mixing, pressure drop). Proven track record of leading large-scale projects and technology transfers. Experience with simulation and process modeling software (Aspen Plus, ChemCAD, etc.). Strong understanding of global regulatory & GMP requirements. Excellent communication, client-facing, and mentoring skills.
