Reports To: EHS Head Role Summary The ETP Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the effluent treatment plant (ETP) and allied utilities. This includes maintaining effluent parameters within statutory norms, supervising staff, and driving improvements in process efficiency. Key Responsibilities Plant Operations Manage and monitor operations of: Biological ETP MVR / MEE / ATFD systems Stripper + Distillation Column RO plant, STP, Fenton reactor, clarifier Ensure Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) where applicable Process Control & Optimization Analyze influent/effluent parameters and adjust operations accordingly Optimize chemical consumption, recovery yield, and plant efficiency Compliance & Documentation Maintain logs, daily reports, flow meter readings, and audit records Ensure discharge quality meets GPCB/CPCB standards Maintenance Coordination Plan and coordinate preventive & breakdown maintenance with the mechanical team Track AMC/vendor performance for key ETP equipment Team & Resource Management Supervise ETP operators, shift engineers, and lab technicians Plan rosters, trainings, and ensure safety compliance within the ETP zone Educational Qualifications B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering Preferred: Certification in Wastewater Treatment, CETP/ETP Operations, ZLD systems 8-15 years of experience in ETP operations, preferably in chemical/pharma sectors Familiarity with high-COD/TDS load effluent treatment and water recycling
