Interested candidates can share their CVs - saijal@symbiosisindia.net Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled professional with strong expertise in the design and development of brake pads and brake blocks , preferably within the railway industry . The ideal candidate should possess sound knowledge of manufacturing processes, physical and dynamometer testing, UIC standards, and product quality improvements . Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of brake pads and brake blocks for railway applications. Ensure compliance with UIC standards and conduct product validation through physical and dynamometer testing . Analyze and compare dyno results against international standards and recommend corrective actions. Drive quality improvement initiatives and support VAVE (Value Analysis & Value Engineering) activities for cost optimization and product enhancement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, testing, and quality to ensure smooth product lifecycle management. Prepare and release design documentation in Teamcenter (PLM system). Utilize 3D modeling software (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks) for product design and modifications. Provide technical support during prototype development, trials, and customer approvals. Qualifications & Skills: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering (or equivalent). 58 years of experience in brake pad and brake block design & development (railway industry preferred). Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material selection, and testing protocols . Hands-on knowledge of dyno testing and analysis with respect to UIC standards. Proficiency in 3D modeling software (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, etc.) and Teamcenter (PLM) . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on quality improvement and VAVE projects . Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
