As an Apparel Production Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the production process efficiently, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of high-quality products. You will be involved in drawing up production schedules, estimating costs, and setting quality standards. It will be your duty to manage human and material resources, draft timescales for tasks, and monitor production processes to make necessary adjustments. You will be accountable for selecting and maintaining production equipment, monitoring product standards, and implementing quality-control measures. Collaboration with various departments such as suppliers and managers is essential to ensure smooth operations. Working closely with the management team to align with company policies and goals will be part of your role. Additionally, you will need to enforce health and safety guidelines in the production environment. Supervising and motivating a team of workers, reviewing their performance, and identifying training needs are crucial aspects of this position. Desired skills for this role include expertise in fabrics, garment wash processes, sewing, fit, garment construction, PDM, sourcing, product construction, raw material development, and production cycle timeline. Experience in manufacturing non-apparel/bottom wear is also advantageous. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, requiring your presence at the work location.
