Job Description

The Bookkeeper & Collections Specialist (India-Based) position based in Gurgaon, India, offers a full-time, long-term opportunity with working hours preferred in U.S. time zones. As a detail-oriented and reliable professional, you will support U.S.-based operations with a strong background in QuickBooks, bookkeeping, and accounts receivable/collections. Your role will demand excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a high level of accuracy and integrity. Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online/Desktop, reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions, maintaining and updating general ledgers and financial reports, preparing monthly and quarterly financial summaries, conducting accounts receivable follow-ups, making collection calls, and managing outstanding invoices while ensuring compliance with U.S. accounting standards and internal company policies. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field, possess 2+ years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Online/Desktop), have a strong understanding of U.S. accounting and bookkeeping practices, experience in accounts receivable and collections, excellent English communication skills (written and verbal), the ability to work independently and meet deadlines, and be comfortable working in U.S. time zones (EST/PST). Preferred skills include experience working with U.S.-based clients or companies, familiarity with tools like Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace, and certification in QuickBooks (Preferred but not mandatory).
