The role available is for a Module Lead and SMT of PTI components for the UV&Q5 project, as a replacement for the current Module Lead who is resigning. As the Module Lead, your primary responsibility will be the design and development of Mounting system (Engine/Transmission) and Suspension Bushes for PVBU projects at TML. You will be required to conduct 6-DOF analysis to propose mounting systems that meet Cost, Weight, and PAT targets. Your knowledge about bush shape, rates, durability, and application will be crucial in benchmarking and selecting the type of mount/bush suitable to meet PAT performance requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for the preparation of RFI/RFQ & SOR, and must possess proficiency in Pro-e. An understanding of PLM system, BOM structure, DMU environment, as well as knowledge on dynamic envelop for powertrain systems and NVH related to mounting systems and bushes are essential for this role. Designing for manufacturability & serviceability, monitoring development progress with various validation agencies, and coordinating with suppliers during the design & development process are also key aspects of this position. Furthermore, your role will involve technology adoption initiatives including hydromount, hydrobush, and active mount technology. You will be responsible for the release of Material Masters (MM) from the Engineering network to the Manufacturing network using workflows and notifications. Your primary task will involve checking MM attributes to ensure proper planning in the manufacturing network, including adding MMs to the manufacturing Bill of Material (BOM) with raw materials. Your goal is to provide quality service to both external and internal customers while meeting the objectives set by the Management. To make a significant impact, you will need to build new items in SAP Material Master (MM) and maintain MM information. This includes populating all attributes by using templates and manually updating vital attributes. It is essential to update attributes as needed to keep the MM in status 30, Active. You will also be required to cleanse existing MMs to transition them from status 15 Engineering to status 30, as well as build new BOMs when necessary. Knowledge of planning, shop, and SCM is beneficial for this role. Furthermore, you will be responsible for processing Engineering Change Notifications (CNs) through workflows from the Engineering system (GloBus). Collaboration with internal Engineering and Manufacturing personnel, as well as other divisions, is essential for maintaining MM and BOMs. Additionally, you may assist in special projects and program maintenance as directed by the department manager while ensuring the upkeep of department files. The ideal candidate should have an Associate's degree along with 2-3 years of experience working with Material Masters (MM) and Bills of Material (BOMs). Job Description for Design Quality Checker: Check all 2D drawings released by the customer and ensure compliance with global drawing standards. Coach and mentor engineers to maintain design quality. Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions with designers. Coordinate and align with the team to improve and update drawing quality. Check 3D models for interference and clearance. Check DMU (Digital Mock-Up) for digital validation, i.e., envelope and linkage study of movable and vibrating parts. Check 3D models for manufacturability. Ensure BOM structure for assemblies (parent and child with quantity and position in 3D). Maintain a tracker and follow up with designers for required corrections. Identify and propose sustainable automation solutions for error-free design release. Maintain vehicle DMUs for each variant and follow up on corrections.
