Boiler Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and certified Boiler Operator to manage and maintain steam boiler operations in a milk processing plant. The ideal candidate will ensure uninterrupted steam supply to various processing sections while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Operate, monitor, and maintain steam boilers and associated equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation. Maintain optimum steam pressure and temperature as per plant requirements. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers, pumps, valves, and associated systems. Monitor and record boiler parameters such as pressure, temperature, fuel consumption, and water level. Ensure continuous supply of steam to pasteurizers, CIP systems, and other milk processing equipment. Detect and troubleshoot operational issues, performing minor repairs or escalating to maintenance if required. Maintain boiler logs, daily operation sheets, and safety checklists. Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations as per statutory norms. Assist in the planning and execution of annual boiler inspections and certifications. Monitor fuel usage (biomass, diesel, gas, or coal depending on the system) and maintain adequate fuel stock. Cooperate with QA and production teams to ensure no disruption in processing due to steam failure.Requirements: Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field. Certification: Mandatory Boiler Attendant Certificate (1st Class / 2nd Class ) Experience: 2–5 years of experience in operating industrial boilers, preferably in a dairy, food, or beverage industry. Skills: * Strong understanding of steam systems and boiler operations. * Familiarity with safety protocols and legal compliance requirements. * Basic troubleshooting and mechanical skills. * Ability to read gauges, meters, and schematics.
