Job Description

As a Boiler Operator, your role involves operating and monitoring the CFBC boiler using the Distributed Control System (DCS) to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. You will be responsible for executing standard operating procedures for start-up, normal running, load changes, and shutdown, as well as ensuring smooth synchronization with turbine/generator systems. Key Responsibilities: - Quickly identify abnormal conditions and alarms, perform root cause analysis, and take corrective actions for troubleshooting and fault diagnosis. - Monitor critical parameters such as bed temperature, pressure, cyclone performance, and emissions to optimize combustion efficiency, fuel feed, and bed material circulation. - Adhere to plant safety procedures and permit systems, ensuring all operations are within safety and environmental compliance limits. - Communicate effectively with field engineers and technicians, and support maintenance teams during breakdowns, overhauls, and inspections. - Maintain detailed operational logs and shift reports, reporting deviations, shutdowns, and maintenance activities. - Ensure SOx/NOx/particulate emissions are within permissible limits, monitor flue gas desulfurization, and bag filter/ESP performance for emission control and environmental monitoring. - Supervise auxiliary systems like ID/FD/PA fans, fuel feeders, ash handling, and air preheaters to ensure their proper functioning and integration with the main boiler system. - Train and guide junior engineers and operators, staying updated with control systems and CFBC technology advancements. Qualifications Required: - Relevant experience in operating and monitoring boilers, preferably CFBC boilers with DCS. - Strong understanding of boiler start-up & shutdown procedures, troubleshooting, and parameter optimization. - Knowledge of safety compliance, emission control, environmental monitoring, and boiler auxiliary systems. - Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with field operators and maintenance teams. - Training experience and a proactive approach to learning and development in control systems and CFBC technology advancements.,
