Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities 1. Corporate Client Acquisition Identify and acquire new corporate clients within the assigned region. Conduct market research and mapping to build a strong corporate pipeline. Generate leads through networking, references, cold calling, and industry events. Understand client insurance requirements and propose appropriate solutions. 2. RFQ Preparation & Coordination Prepare and compile Request for Quotations (RFQs) across product lines such as Group Health, GPA, Property, Liability, Marine, etc. Coordinate with insurance companies to secure competitive quotations. Evaluate and compare quote terms to prepare client-ready technical and commercial proposals. 3. Sales Negotiation & Closure Present proposals to decision-makers (CFOs, HR Heads, CXOs, and business owners). Negotiate pricing, terms, and service scope to successfully conclude the sale. Consistently achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. 4. Relationship Management Build and maintain strong client relationships for long-term business. Coordinate with internal servicing and claims teams to ensure seamless policy issuance and support. Support renewals by working with clients and internal teams on timely review and negotiations. 5. Market Intelligence Track competitor offerings, industry movements, and market demand. Identify new business opportunities and innovative insurance solutions. Provide strategic inputs to management for continuous improvement. 6. Reporting & Governance Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and opportunity pipeline Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations and organisational compliance standards. Qualifications & Experience Education Graduate / Post-Graduate in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related fields. Insurance certifications (Licentiate, Fellowship, or Broker Qualified Person) preferred. Experience 3-8 years in corporate sales (insurance broking/general insurance preferred). Demonstrated success in handling corporate accounts and achieving sales targets. Strong understanding of corporate insurance products. Key Skills Strong communication and negotiation skills. Excellent presentation and relationship-building ability. Ability to understand complex insurance products. Target-driven, with a proactive and strategic sales mindset. Proficiency in MS Office tools. Willingness to travel within the assigned region.
