Execution Oversight : Ensure smooth execution and tracking of strategic initiatives across departments and support the delivery of key performance indicators (P&L, cost of acquisition, business efficiencies, customer/employee satisfaction, etc.). Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with business heads and cross-functional teams to conceptualize, align, and execute high-priority projects. Market Intelligence : Conduct environmental scans to track market trends, competition, and regulatory changes, and advise leadership on implications and response strategies. Opportunity Identification : Recognize and propose new strategic opportunities to drive organizational growth or performance improvement. Performance Reviews : Conduct and facilitate monthly business reviews and governance meetings with leadership. Leadership Communication : Prepare high-impact strategic presentations and business updates for leadership forums, board meetings, and CEO communications. Preferred Skills & Competencies Strong strategic and analytical thinking capabilities. Proficiency in business planning, decision support, and scenario analysis . Exceptional communication and presentation skills – verbal, written, and visual (PowerPoint). Adept at cross-functional collaboration and managing stakeholder expectations at all levels. Self-driven with a bias for action, problem-solving attitude, and ownership mindset. Ability to work in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with metrics such as Cost of Acquisition , Persistency , EPI , etc., especially in the context of insurance or BFSI businesses.

Job Responsibilities : The Position is responsible for overseeing Legal Entity (LE) Governance activities in support of the American Express India Legal Entities which include AEIPL, AESIL, AEFESIL, AEIIPL and other business as may be required from time to time. The Position will report to the Director Compliance and will serve in supporting the LE Governance functions, business management, finance organizations, board, and regulators. The position will play an integral role in achieving the Companys goal to protect and assure compliance and integrity of the LE Governance activities by proactively eliminating controllable risk and exposure to the business and regularly execute accurate and effective reports and controls. Statutory/Regulatory Compliance: Ensure appropriate control for • Companies Act compliances for Board/General Meetings Monitoring change control over including regulatory reporting and compliance. Compliance requirements related to Statutory matters, wherever required. Escalation of significant risk matters to the Board Liaison & Advisory - Liaising and networking with various stakeholders including senior management and Leaders for discharging Compliance matters. Provide internal consultancy to various functions on Compliance related matters including awareness sessions on AXPs Corporate Governance requirements. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive and sustainable compliance program for the legal entity Leading experienced compliance analyst/s responsible for execution of the compliance program including strategic compliance risk management, issue management, regulatory change management and compliance risk assessment Providing compliance input on the development and evolution of centrally managed policies, services, capabilities, processes and controls to enable the legal entity to comply with all applicable laws and regulations Skills and Experience Seasoned people leader with experience building and transforming teams and leading and developing individuals across multiple locations 10 to 12 years experience leading a compliance program and/or complex multi-market projects addressing compliance and control requirements including Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions, Anti-Corruption, Data Privacy and Payments Regulations Knowledge of legal entity governance and associated control and compliance framework Proven ability to set the agenda on complex, evolving legal and regulatory requirements Self-motivated, energetic team player with proven ability to drive results in changing and ambiguous situations in a complex matrixed organization Strong relationship and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships and influence a broad group of stakeholders, at all levels.
