Responsibilities The Junior Counsellor will play a crucial role in supporting our counsellors by identifying and pre-qualifying prospective students interested in studying abroad. This position involves significant interaction with potential candidates, primarily through phone calls, to assess their eligibility and interest. The goal is to encourage these students to schedule a counselling session with our expert team. Key Responsibilities: Prospect Identification: Reach out to potential students via phone to identify those interested in studying abroad. Lead Qualification: Assess and filter students based on their eligibility and interest in international education programs. Scheduling : Convince qualified students to book a counselling session with our expert counsellors. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of interactions and update the database with relevant information. Collaboration: Work closely with the counsellors to ensure a seamless handover of prospective leads. Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up calls to nurture leads and answer any preliminary questions students may have. Qualifications Education: A bachelor's degree or currently pursuing higher education. Experience: At least 1 year experience in Study Abroad domain. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities. Ability to manage and prioritise multiple leads. Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools. Personal Attributes: Empathetic and patient demeanour. Goal-oriented and self-motivated. Role Description The Overseas Education Counsellor at BNPS International is a full-time, on-site role based in Nehru Place, New Delhi . The Counsellor will play a crucial role in guiding students throughout their study abroad journey, specialising in education opportunities in the UK, Australia, and the USA . This is a target-based role designed for a result-driven professional with a strong understanding of international education systems. The Counsellor will engage with prospective students, provide personalised guidance on course and university selection, and support them through the application and visa processes. Collaboration with Buddy Counsellors, Sales Coordinators, and Admissions Teams will be essential to ensure effective lead management, consistent follow-ups, and the achievement of monthly counselling and visa conversion goals. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions for students aspiring to study in the UK, Australia, and USA . Achieve defined monthly and annual targets related to counselling sessions, applications, and successful visa outcomes. Evaluate student profiles and recommend suitable courses, universities, and career pathways. Maintain updated knowledge of admission procedures, scholarships, and visa guidelines for target destinations. Guide students through the entire application and visa process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of documentation. Coordinate with Buddy Counsellors for lead qualification, document collection, and follow-up activities. Participate in education fairs, webinars, and other promotional events to represent BNPS International. Maintain accurate counselling records and updates in the CRM system. Stay informed on global education trends and contribute to enhancing the counselling process. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in counselling, education, management, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in overseas education counselling, preferably focusing on the UK, Australia, or USA. Sound knowledge of international admissions, visa processes, and funding/scholarship opportunities . Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proven ability to achieve performance and conversion targets in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational and follow-up abilities with attention to detail.
