As a Senior Battery Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing experiments and fixtures, conducting battery-related test work, and documenting the results. Your role will involve applying first-principal engineering to new applications and collaborating closely with a team to deliver high-voltage architecture. Your key responsibilities will include preparing DFMEA, DVP&R, conducting RCA & FTA, and providing necessary support to the design team, battery prototyping, and battery production team. You should have a diploma or a bachelor's degree in Mechatronic, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, or equivalent field with relevant experience in high voltage Li-ion battery pack validation. To excel in this role, you must have a strong understanding of electrical-overcharge, force discharge, short circuit, imbalance charging, and other validation aspects. Experience in developing DVP based on industry standards and internal requirements is essential. You should be skilled in tear down analysis, using tools such as DMM, Oscilloscope, vibration shaker, climatic chamber, and various battery testers. Your expertise in vehicle-level validation, BMS functionality validation, battery prototyping, and data logging will be valuable. A solid grasp of electrical theory, mechanical structural failure theory, and the ability to design fixtures and conduct basic fabrication are required. You should be comfortable working independently with minimal oversight and possess skills in data processing for CAN and temperature data.
