Customisation GSD (Global Services Delivery)

AMS Consultant -

Key Responsibilities/Duties (BMC Discovery)

Provide L2/L3 operational support on BMC Discovery as per agreed SLAs.
Responsible for leading and/or participating in small teams comprised of BMC, partner and customer resources at client sites to deliver required outcomes and produce additional business with BMC clients.
Maintain BMC Discovery platform availability as per agreed availability commitment
Understands how to apply technology to improve the operational effectiveness or efficiency of specific functions or applications.
Customize and configure BMC Discovery capabilities in complex Cluster Env.
Recommend & plan upgrades/patches and roll out of new features
Integrate BMC products to each other and third-party applications.
Improve the quality and efficiency of the solutions delivered to BMC clients as a means to improve BMC business margins.
Accountable to client for achieving specific outcomes by delivering services as directed by the project manager and technical lead.
Ability to transfer knowledge of the BMC approach to business service management.

Required Skills/Experience:

Extensive experience in the Administration and configuration of BMC Discovery Applications, Integrations, Customization.
Candidate must possess an Engineering /Computer Science Bachelors Degree.
Should have min 6-9 Years of relevant experience on BMC Helix ITSM Remedy/CMDB.
Should have worked in Applications Managed Services and Consulting Services environment
Extensive experience with installing and maintaining Discovery ADDM within a high distributed (Cluster) complex environment
Strong Experience with application modelling and Discovery Integration with Remedy CMDB
Expert knowledge in developing TPL's scripts (Technology Pattern Language) to enhance discovery data quality
Scripting knowledge (Unix, Perl, SQL, TPL)
Strong understanding of Discovery reporting, query language and export APIs
Excellent organisation and communication (both written and oral) skills
Able to work both autonomously and in teams, with Self-starter and good decision-making skills
Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to fault resolution
Good knowledge of Cloud Technologies, networking and database concepts
Well organized with a positive attitude, ability to work in customer facing env & should be able to communicate with Customers, Vendors, and other internal groups as required.
Exercises independent judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Effective communication skills in English.
Willing to work in shifts , weekend and on-call support will be required.
