The plant focuses on high operational uptime, utility cost optimization, and strict adherence to safety and compliance standards. About The Role We are seeking a Utility Operations Manager with hands-on experience in operating and maintaining Blast Furnace utility systems. The ideal candidate will lead the utility function to ensure an uninterrupted supply of essential resources like water, air, oxygen, and nitrogen to the plant. This role involves leadership of plant staff, adherence to HES norms, and efficient maintenance of critical equipment like blowers, compressors, WTP, DM plants, and more. Key Responsibilities Ensure uninterrupted utility supply (Water, Air, Oxygen, Nitrogen) to blast furnace operations Operate and maintain equipment such as Blowers, Compressors, DG Pumps, RO, UF, and Vacuum Pumps Lead and train plant operations team; ensure full compliance with HES standards Manage operation and maintenance of STP, ETP, DM Plant, VPSA Oxygen, PSA Nitrogen systems Conduct RCA for failures and implement corrective and preventive measures Monitor and optimize equipment performance, MTTR, and MTBF Must-Have Qualifications B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline 12–14 years of experience in Utility/Blast Furnace operations and maintenance Proficiency in handling Water Management Systems, Compressors, DG sets, and Oxygen/Nitrogen plants Expertise in SAP for plant maintenance and material management Proven experience in handling RCA, SOPs, preventive maintenance, and safety policies Strong leadership and team management capabilities Ability to work in high-pressure plant environments, including noise and hazardous zones Preferred Industry Exposure Steel/Heavy Manufacturing/Power Plant/Utility Services Show more Show less
