Role & responsibilities Day to day duties of the role; Design of Mechanical systems of the process equipment for quotations and projects. Interpretation of the general & organization standards and utilizing in the projects and quotation, design involves the selection of material, size, interference check, feasibility of fabrications with respect to the ASME requirements, company standards and customer requirement. Making sure the projects and quotation are satisfying the applicable code and customer requirement with respect to the mechanical & structural design. Responsible for the projects mechanical & structural design within the Estimated or budgeted cost. Ensure quality of the drawing with respect to the applicable code, customer specification and manufacturing feasibility. Keep updated with the knowledge of code changes and standards with respect to the mechanical design. Responsible for adequacy of the Mechanical calculation and Checking the fabrication drawings. Guiding the CAD Designing Department. Meeting the Pressure equipment requirements of the statutory regulation. Technical specification preparation of the Mechanical equipment for outsourcing. Selection of material. Responsible for implementing QMS procedure & maintaining related documentation with respect to their task assigned. Responsible for updating companys engineering Specification & maintenance of latest ASME/Standard Codes. Responsible for Retrieval, Updating and utilization of the Code(s) when projects demand. Carrying out estimation Authority: Approve mechanical design drawings and associated calculation documents Preferred candidate profile Essential requirements; Hons. Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering or equivalent. High level of computer literacy essential. Fluent English written and spoken. Willing to travel overseas. Exposure to Compress, PVElite, Ansys, Staadpro, FEA, & Microsoft Project would be advantageous. Good analytical, design skills, creativity in providing competitive customer design solutions. Strong technical leadership skills with an ability to influence others. Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative. Proven track record in delivering reliability, cost, quality & productivity improvement projects. Experience working in a regulated environment & knowledge of requirements & procedures are required. Excellent communication, written, credibility & presentation skills. Customer orientated.
