Client Acquisition & Relationship Management Identify and target potential clients (individuals, corporations, or institutions) through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and industry events. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. Schedule and conduct meetings with prospective clients to understand their advisory needs and propose tailored solutions. 2. Strategic Planning & Market Research Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, client needs, and opportunities for new services or geographic expansion. Collaborate with partners to define and implement the firm’s growth strategy and business goals. 3. Proposal Development & Negotiation Work with technical or domain experts within the firm to prepare compelling proposals, pitches, and RFP responses. Lead negotiations on engagement terms, pricing, and deliverables while ensuring compliance with the firm's policies. 4. Partnership Development Identify and develop strategic alliances with complementary firms (law firms, financial institutions, consultants, etc.) to create referral networks or bundled services. Attend industry events and represent the firm to expand its professional network and reputation. 5. Marketing & Brand Positioning Collaborate with marketing teams (if any) or external agencies to develop targeted campaigns and thought leadership content (e.g., whitepapers, webinars, newsletters). Promote the firm through digital platforms, events, and client education initiatives. 6. Sales Funnel & CRM Management Manage the sales pipeline, track progress using CRM tools, and report on KPIs such as leads generated, deals closed, and client conversion rates. Monitor and analyze client feedback to continuously refine service offerings and client engagement strategies. 7. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with advisory partners, legal/compliance teams, and operational staff to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery of services. Provide feedback to partners and consultants regarding client expectations and service satisfaction. Qualifications & Skills Typically Required: Proven experience in business development, preferably in a professional services or advisory environment. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinking and the ability to translate market opportunities into actionable business plans. Familiarity with relevant legal, financial, or consulting domains (depending on the firm's focus). Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
