You will be responsible for leading the concept development, detailed design, and integration of BIW structures such as pillars, roof rails, floor assembly, front/rear modules, and reinforcements. Your role will involve developing lightweight, cost-effective, and structurally robust BIW solutions using advanced materials and manufacturing processes. It will be crucial to ensure the timely release of CAD models and 2D drawings with accurate GD&T and tolerance analysis. Collaboration with various teams including CAE, NVH, Crash, Manufacturing, Quality, and Serviceability will be essential to achieve integrated vehicle performance. Managing design feasibility in terms of welding, joining techniques, and assembly constraints will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. You will also need to engage with suppliers and manufacturing for tool validation, part feasibility, and cost optimization. Additionally, you will support design validation activities such as prototype builds, physical testing, and correlation with simulation. Contribution to DFMEA, DVP, BOM generation, change management, and gate reviews will also be part of your role. Ensuring compliance with regulatory crash, pedestrian safety, and emission standards will be crucial in this position.,

Job Requirements: Working Experience on BiW Structure and good knowledge about product design and development. Able to work in complex vehicle structure and identify modularity in Vehicle matrix Develop and deliver digital CAD data Possess extensive knowledge of Entire Vehicle Geometry Executing activities within agreed timelines. Understanding of Materials - BiW, Joining methodology such as Welding, riveting and gluing Identify corrosion prone areas in the vehicle and propose protection measures Sound knowledge in packaging study and master section creation. Expert in Sheet metal surface design, defects & Manufacturing process. Knowledge of joining elements, cast parts, manufacturing, GD&T & assembly processes. Working Knowledge of BiW Manufacturing, Fixtures, Painting technology & Corrosion Protection techniques will be added advantage Having basic knowledge on Cavity Waxing, Seam sealing, ED and PVC Coating application. Previous experience in MBRDI (Daimler CAD methodology) will be an added advantage. Good communication skills , ability to understand technical requirements and convey them.
