Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with deep domain knowledge in ISI certification, BIS regulatory procedures, FMCS, Scheme X, and audit processes. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end execution and oversight of certification projects, team coordination, client handling, and regulatory compliance across domestic and international portfolios. Key Responsibilities ISI & BIS Certification Management Lead end-to-end execution of ISI (Indian Standards Institute) certification projects across product categories. Coordinate model inclusion, CCL updates, AIR appointments, factory renewals, and license withdrawals as per BIS requirements. Ensure compliance with latest BIS guidelines and maintain active tracking for renewals and license timelines. FMCS (Foreign Manufacturers Certification Scheme) Manage BIS certification process for foreign manufacturers including document verification, factory detail evaluation, and AIR coordination. Handle sample import, customs clearance, and lab testing in accordance with FMCS norms. Act as the liaison between foreign clients and Indian authorities for smooth project execution. Scheme-X Compliance Implement and maintain BIS Scheme-X certification process where applicable. Ensure regular surveillance inspections, in-process quality control (IPQC), and internal test procedures are followed by clients. Guide factories on required infrastructure, documentation, and internal compliance for Scheme-X products. Audit Coordination Prepare factories for BIS audits (both domestic and foreign), conduct documentation review, and train factory teams on audit expectations. Handle post-audit non-conformities, implement corrective actions, and coordinate with BIS officials for final approvals. Schedule periodic lab visits and interface with BIS officers for application status and clarifications. Documentation & Regulatory Compliance Maintain up-to-date documentation including SOPs, process flows, test reports, certificates, and audit records. Review draft reports, testing requirements, and ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks. Develop and update project trackers, spreadsheets, and weekly reports for internal and client-side transparency. Client & Team Management Coordinate with clients, testing labs, and BIS authorities to ensure timelines are met. Supervise and mentor junior operations team members, manage task allocation and project ownership. Provide technical support and updates to clients throughout the certification lifecycle. Key Requirements Bachelors degree in Science, Engineering, or related technical field. 58 years of experience in operations or regulatory compliance, with at least 3 years specifically in ISI/BIS certifications. Proven experience in FMCS projects and familiarity with Scheme-X implementation. Strong documentation, audit preparation, and compliance monitoring capabilities. Excellent communication, multitasking, and client management skills. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualities Experience in handling technical products for certification (electronics, appliances, etc.) Ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
