Position- Microbiologist Company Name- Evexia Nutrition Pvt Ltd., Bangalore Reporting to Quality Head Job Description POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT The position is responsible to perform Microbiology analysis as assigned, using standardized procedures with no direct supervision. Recognizes problems and takes appropriate corrective action. Responsible for analysis of raw materials, ingredient, finished product and research products with highest quality data possible, maintain compliance with applicable internal / external quality and regulatory requirement and adopting best industry practices. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Performs laboratory testing (Microbial limit test of raw material, finished products stability samples, swab analysis, environmental monitoring and Documentation. Prepares Cultures/Subcultures, standards and media; calibrates and operates microbiology equipment and document those. Performs routine calibration and performance verification of microbiology lab equipment and instrumentation. Provides input on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Test Methods and other relevant laboratory documents. Participate in investigations, address Out of Specifications (OOS), resolve deviations and implement CAPA with general supervision. Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Documents data in lab notebook and follow basic cGMP guidelines. Participates in internal and external audits of the lab and works to close any non-conformances raised during those in agreed timelines. Maintains a safe, clean and efficient laboratory. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: BSc/MSc in Microbiology 1-3 years previous experience of independently doing microbiology tests. Experience in various microbiological test methods both traditional and rapid tests. Ability to execute testing according to established methods independently without any direct supervision. Demonstrates basic proficiency in microbiological lab instrumentation and multiple test methods. Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision Ability to organize workload for effective implementation Strong customer and results orientation Ability to function as an effective team member Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent knowledge on latest Micro techniques. Good knowledge of standard international methods Follow written directions and is detail-oriented in repetitive tasks Familiar, in general, with how nutritionalproducts are manufactured and the regulations surrounding its manufacture Good understanding of safety and quality standards in microbiology lab Prepare media maintaining of media records. Microbial limit test of raw material finished products stability samples. To monitor and review calibration of instrument and maintain the logbooks. To maintain a GMP/GLP environment and data integrity in the laboratory. Readiness for External audits (ISO, BRC, FSSAI, BIS). Must have basic knowledge regarding these standards and regulations.
