In this role, you will lead and develop a team of engineers & modelers working on challenging projects in the North American region. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading a large team and supporting the development of functional area expertise - Independently solving problems and implementing new digital approaches on projects - Developing and reviewing methodologies, coaching team members on safe design processes - Ensuring management and financial controls are in place on projects - Taking ownership of project quality, resolving issues, and delegating tasks effectively - Collaborating with teams to deliver projects that contribute to sustainable development - Building industry profile and staying updated with innovations and developments Qualifications & Experience: - B.E in Mechanical Engineering / M.E / M. Principal Engineer / Technical Discipline Leader - Mechanical (ANA Water) Role description: We are currently recruiting highly skilled individuals for the position of a Principal Engineer / Technical Discipline Leader - Mechanical for our Water team. You would be based in Bangalore / Hyderabad / Mumbai. You are expected to lead and develop a team of engineers & modelers working on several complex and challenging projects in the North American region. Role accountabilities: An entry-level leadership role leads a large team. Support in developing functional area expertise Should be an independent problem solver Create opportunities to implement new digital approaches on your projects Independently develop methodologies and review methodologies developed by junior members of the team Coach your team on safe design processes and identify improvements in the wider business Ensure management and financial controls are in place across small to medium range projects Should take full ownership and make others accountable achieving 100% quality (processes/training/checklists) Should resolve issues regarding resources/scope/budget Should delegate tasks and assign roles to team members to achieve the agreed project and organizational outcomes Enforce training objectives where appropriate to achieve organizational goals and objectives Ensure that the industry best practices are adopted and implemented on projects Should play a key role in providing training, mentoring, and continuous feedback to first-time managers Collaborate within your team and other teams within GEC as well as regions to deliver. Ability to leading a team on various projects in line with client requirement. Should innovate to ensure your projects contribute to sustainable development and quality of life Liaison with other team members to produce good design solution as per the best design practice. Building a profile in the industry and keeping up-to-date with innovations and developments. Compliance of Arcadis business management system. Qualifications & Experience: B.E in Mechanical Engineering / M.E / M. Tech in Civil Engineering / Environmental Engineering from a recognized University. 15+ years experience. Sound technical knowledge, academically good. Should have worked with and have experience working on ANA Projects. Should have led and delivered multi-disciplinary projects and have established strong relationships with members from ANA teams. Familiar with US codes, standards, and practices related to Mechanical ,Civil and Environmental Engineering. Awareness of software used for Piping and equipment modeling. Exposure to Water and Watewater Treatment Plants, Pump Stations, Process , Plant Hydraulics, Process Modeling Softwares viz, BIOWIN is highly desirable. Expousure to BIM Good knowledge of Microsoft office. A strong, self-motivated and assertive person capable of working under pressure. Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Flexible to adopt new work /challenge work as per business requirement.
