We are seeking a dynamic and committed Assistant Professor in Biotechnology to join the Faculty of Engineering & Technology. The ideal candidate should be passionate about teaching, research, and curriculum development and must contribute actively to the department's academic growth and student mentoring. Teaching and Learning : Deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Biotechnology, covering areas such as Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Bioinformatics, and Industrial Biotechnology. Develop and update course curricula to reflect advancements in Biotechnology and align with UGC/AICTE guidelines. Utilize innovative teaching methodologies, including ICT-enabled tools and hands-on laboratory training, to enhance student learning outcomes. Supervise student projects, internships, and dissertations at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Institutional and Administrative Duties : Participate in departmental and university committees, including NAAC/IQAC activities, to support accreditation and quality assurance processes. Contribute to curriculum development, laboratory setup, and program accreditation efforts. Organize workshops, seminars, and conferences to promote academic and industry collaboration in Biotechnology. Engage in student mentoring, career counseling, and extracurricular activities to foster holistic development. Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment, safety protocols, and research facilities. Qualifications:- Educational Requirements : Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field from a recognized university, as per UGC norms. Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech.) in Biotechnology or equivalent with at least 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA). Candidates with a valid NET/SLET/SET qualification or those exempted as per UGC regulations are preferred. Experience :- Minimum of 1-3 years of teaching or research experience at a university or equivalent institution (preferred but not mandatory for fresh Ph.D. holders). Proven record of research publications in reputed journals or conferences is desirable. Experience in curriculum design or industry collaboration is an advantage.
