You will be responsible for operating and maintaining flow cytometers such as BD LSRFortessa, FACSCanto, Cytek Aurora, and similar equipment. This includes performing instrument calibration, quality control checks, and routine maintenance to ensure accurate and reliable results. You will also be required to prepare biological samples by conducting staining, viability assays, and compensation setup. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design and optimize multicolor panels for flow cytometry experiments. Additionally, you will acquire and analyze cytometry data using software like FlowJo, FCS Express, or Cytobank. It is essential to document experimental procedures accurately and maintain records in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or lab notebooks. As part of your responsibilities, troubleshooting instrument and protocol issues will be crucial. You will need to coordinate with technical support when necessary to resolve any issues that may arise. Furthermore, training staff and collaborators on proper cytometry protocols and instrument use will be part of your role. Ensuring compliance with biosafety and laboratory safety protocols is a key aspect of this position. You will be expected to maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all relevant safety guidelines and procedures.
