Execute the test plans that validate the System software functionality and work with the development team on problem resolution. Automate regression testing for the various security software deliverables. Interact with development team members to meet and optimize product design requirements Required Skills: Experience with programming languages embedded in C, Python, and Shell is a must. Prior Work experience/exposure to drivers testing & Post silicon validation is required. Able to transform the test scenarios into automated test scripts using C/Python. Experience in an Automation framework is required. Experience in ARM architecture (Cortex-A/Cortex M) & Micro controllers are required. Experience in standard Process tools like Jira, Confluence, git, and Gerrit is required. Experience in Jenkins, monitoring, troubleshooting, and integration (CI/CD tools). Prior experience in designing Test plans for features from scratch is an advantage. Strong knowledge of test tools like Test Link, and an Automation validation framework is a must. Responsibilities: Perform Linux board bring-up on custom hardware platforms, including initialization and hardware validation. Develop, configure, and debug bootloaders (e.g., U-Boot) for embedded systems. Customize and maintain the Linux kernel , device trees, and low-level drivers for target hardware. Work with BIOS/UEFI firmware , supporting hardware initialization and system boot processes. Configure and troubleshoot Linux file systems (e.g., ext4, squashfs, NFS) for embedded environments. Program in C/C++ to develop and optimize embedded applications, device drivers, and low-level utilities. Analyze and resolve issues related to hardware-software integration and performance optimization. Collaborate with hardware, testing, and system architecture teams to ensure stable Linux deployments. Utilize tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers for debugging and validation. Maintain technical documentation, board bring-up guides, and contribute to knowledge-sharing. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Define product features and capabilities, close architecture, and micro-architecture requirements, drive technical specifications for SoC and IP blocks to meet those requirements, and provide technical direction to execution teams Comprehend the SOC as a complete system which includes HW (Silicon), FW, BIOS & SW and ensure that FW, BIOS & SW are aligned to enable all features, optimizing for performance and power Work cross functionally with IP/Domain architects to identify and assess complex technical issues/risks and develop architectural solutions to achieve product requirements Knowledge sharing and other contributions to Platform & System Architecture As an overall product owner, responsible for architecture analysis and technical solutions for marketing/feature change requests Work closely with Design teams for Area and Floorplan refinement, Verification Test plan reviews, Timing targets, Emulation plans, Pre-Si bug resolution and Performance/Power Verification sign offs Support Post-Si teams for Product Performance, Power and functional issues debug/resolution PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Outstanding foundation in Systems & SoC architecture, with expertise in one or more of the following: CPU or GPU, Memory sub-system, Fabrics, CPU/GPU coherency, Multimedia, I/O subsystems, Clocks, Resets, Virtualization and Security Experience analyzing CPU, GPU or System-level Micro-Architectural features to identify performance bottlenecks within different workloads Demonstrated expertise in power management microarchitecture, low power design and power optimization, along with power impact at architecture, logic design, and circuit levels Excellent communication, management, and presentation skills. Adept at collaboration among top-thinkers and senior architects with strong interpersonal skills to work across teams in different geographies ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: bachelors or masters degree in related discipline preferred
