As a Hardware and Networking Technician in our team based in Kolkata, Dhakuria, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware, networking systems, and security devices including CCTV and biometric systems. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring the proper functionality and security of surveillance systems, biometric attendance and access control systems, as well as diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various IT equipment such as desktops, laptops, printers, and more. You will be expected to have hands-on experience with IT infrastructure, possess strong problem-solving skills, and exhibit the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. In addition, your role will include tasks such as installing and configuring LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, and other networking devices, as well as handling software installation, troubleshooting, system security, data backups, and user support to efficiently resolve hardware and network-related issues. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, while certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA, or similar are considered advantageous. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of relevant experience in hardware and networking, possess a strong understanding of computer hardware, networking, CCTV, and biometric systems, and demonstrate quick problem-solving abilities when dealing with hardware, software, and network issues. You should be prepared to work on-site, travel as necessary, and handle physical tasks associated with hardware installations.
