The role requires you to ensure safe and efficient plant operations while meeting contractual obligations and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. You will be responsible for compliant and profitable plant operations, including continuous improvement. As a leader, you will lead a team to maintain operational and EHS excellence, as well as develop a second line of talents within the team. Your responsibilities will also include external and internal reporting based on agreed frequency or as per need. Your technical skills should include experience in Biological- MBR, UF, RO (SWRO, BWRO), ZLD, and MEE water treatment technologies. You should have hands-on experience in operations and maintenance of complex water treatment plants, with strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with MBR, RO, and ZLD systems. Additionally, you should have the ability to read and understand P&IDs and technical drawings, a strong understanding of pretreatment and biological processes, and data visualization ability with analytical competencies to take corrective action. In terms of communication, safety, and compliance, you should have EHS awareness, including RA, LOTO, SOP writing, and reporting, and adhere to HR and safety guidelines and related regulations. Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential, along with proficiency in soft skills like Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs. You should possess strong customer and stakeholder management abilities, be a team player with good time management and planning skills. Business and other skills required for this role include financial acumen for profitable operations and spending optimization, innovative and creative thinking, inventory management of spares, consumables, chemicals, and others as per requirement, understanding of the area of responsibility, scope of the job, and critical terms and conditions. Experience in sourcing activities, such as defining/collecting specifications for supply/services, taking vendor quotations, and coordinating purchases for procurement is also beneficial. You should be responsive and adhere to deadlines. Key skills required for this role include being well experienced in operating and managing UF, RO (SWRO, BWRO), ZLD, and MEE water treatment technologies, as well as pre-treatment and biological- MBR processes. Relevant experience for both roles must be in a B2B environment with direct end-user ownership, not through indirect component or equipment sales via channels. Solid understanding of biological processes (anaerobic, aerobic, nutrient removal, biogas recovery) and complementary treatment technologies. Knowledge of industrial wastewater regulations in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Fluency in English required; a high level of proficiency in spoken Arabic and industry-specific experience is a primary prerequisite for the role in Saudi Arabia.
