As the Director of Design Services at JLL, you will play a crucial role in providing highest-level leadership, direction, and management of project resources, both internal and external. Your responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining excellent stakeholder management, leading and stabilizing new projects with a focus on flawless delivery, and developing and implementing a comprehensive BIM strategy aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices. You will be responsible for ensuring that work is undertaken in accordance with project briefs, company procedures, and governance requirements. Reporting on financial positions and business development initiatives, identifying opportunities for product improvement, and demonstrating a genuine interest in transforming existing marketing and business development will also be key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will lead and manage a team of BIM Managers & BIM Lead/Coordinators, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of projects. Effective communication and collaboration between internal and external stakeholders, enforcing BIM standards and best practices, and overseeing the digital delivery of BIM projects will be essential for project success. You will be expected to evaluate and recommend emerging BIM technologies, integrate virtual reality and digital design QA/QC review, and implement automation solutions to optimize processes and enhance collaboration. Identifying skill gaps within the BIM team, designing training programs, and ensuring stakeholder needs are met regarding commercial probity and value will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should have 14 to 18 years of experience in a similar position, be highly skilled in BIM360/ACC software, and have experience managing multiple large projects across teams and geographies. Your ability to motivate and energize staff, contribute to the management of high-performing teams, write informative reports, and adopt a results-focused mindset will be critical for success in this role.
