Role: BIM Specialist
Job Location: Chennai Mode of work: WFO Experience: 5-10 Years

Purpose of the Role:

1) 3D Modelling & Drawing Preparation for Global FIBE projects using Reverse eng. software and associated BIM tools.

2) Create, manage, and update accurate 3D BIM models for factory and infrastructure projects from various data sources, including NavVis scan data.

3) Create 3D models in RVT format (Revit) and integrate process models within FIBE layout models for clash analysis.

4) Collaborate with global regional plant project teams and stakeholders to understand project scope, collect input data from different CoCs, and deliver precise models.

5) Anticipate and mitigate risks during design phase through proactive clash detection and resolution.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Individually handle the 3D modeling and drawing preparation work for various packages involved in various region projects globally
• Understand the 3D modeling requirement from the global team
• Responsible for conducting a complete study to understand the project scope and deliverables from the Project team
• Integrate Facility (Process model) 3D model inside FIBE layout 3D model and perform comprehensive clash validation
• Propose effective solutions for identified clashes and coordinate with relevant teams for implementation.
• Prepare new 3D drawings/models from the NavVis scanned data already available in portal for the various plants globally
• Collect and consolidate input data from different RFQs, discuss with different COC Persons, and integrate into global data repository
• Anticipate and identify potential risks during design phase through thorough model analysis.
• Perform clash detection and resolution using Autodesk Construction Cloud or Navisworks Manage to identify and report conflicts

Key Skills:

• 5-10 Years of experience in BIM Modeling and 3D drawing preparation for Industrial Building projects
• Knowledge in Ms office- 365 tools & efficient usage .
• Expert knowledge in Reverse eng. software for 3D modeling from point clouds
• Hands-on experience in BIM modeling activity for industrial factory projects.
• Proficient in Autodesk Navisworks for model review, clash detection, and 4D simulation.
• Experience in using Autodesk Construction Cloud for model review, clash detection, 4D simulation, model management and collaboration.
• Expertise in creating 3D smart models, including Revit family components, in RVT format (Revit) and model integration.
• Strong skills in clash detection, validation, and proposing technical solutions
• Strong understanding of BIM processes, LOD (Level of Detail) requirements, and industry standards.
• Ability to interpret point cloud data and convert it into intelligent, structured BIM models.
• Knowledge in understanding the modeling requirements for all types of disciplines (civil, structural, architectural, MEP)
• Experience in stakeholder coordination, MOM preparation, and follow-up management.
• Knowledge in Auto CAD software using skill
