BIM MEP Specialist

As a BIM MEP Specialist at Virtual Building Studio, your role will involve ensuring project quality and timely delivery by managing assigned teams, overseeing project deliverables, and maintaining compliance with BIM standards and workflows. Your key responsibilities will include: - Distributing tasks and monitoring progress within the team. - Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of BIM models and drawings as per BIM standards and project checklists. Executing the production of BIM models and shop drawings for construction. - Ensuring timely completion of all deliverables as per project schedule. - Reporting progress regularly to the BIM Lead / Manager. - Auditing and preparing documents for client submissions. - Preparing RFIs / Clarifications and managing project documentation. - Extracting and verifying quantities from 3D Models. Contributing to 4D Scheduling and Value Engineering. - Supporting in team development, mentoring, and efficient resource utilization. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - Education: Bachelors / Masters degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. - Software Expertise: AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks (essential). - Experience: Minimum 4+ years in BIM Modelling / Coordination. - Technical Skills: Strong communication, presentation, graphics, writing, designing, and modeling skills. - Soft Skills: Active listening, integrity, adaptability, and openness to change. Ability to handle a team of at least 10 resources efficiently. In this position, your performance will be measured based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as: - Productivity: Completing assigned projects within 110% of allocated hours. - Quality: Achieving positive client ratings on deliverables. - Timely Delivery: Meeting client-agreed deadlines. - Audit & Compliance: Ensuring minimal non-conformities during internal audits. - Team Development: Contributing to training and upskilling team members. - Resource Management: Ensuring efficient utilization of manpower within your own team.
