The Sr. BIM Modeler role will include creation and editing of drawings in compliance with WSP Switzerland CAD Standards, detailing practices and ensuring high quality output. Responsibilities Responsible for basic CAD and BIM design tasks as directed by the Engineer. Prepare the required project drawings 2D and BIM Models. Self check of the drawings with quality and manage deadlines of his/her production and that of team members. Liaise with the WSP Switzerland team for technical aspects. Creation and editing of drawings sketches in compliance with WSP CAD Standards, detailing practices and agreed timescales. Completion of CAD tasks received from Engineers and/ or CAD Coordinator. Coordinate and support the Complementary Resources Centers (iCRCs) CAD team. Generate sections / schedules / schematics from general arrangement drawings. Ensure drawings are issued, and filed in an appropriate manner. Conversion of drawings to other formats such as DGN, DWG PDF if required. Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager. Ensure that Health Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies. Develop expertise and stay abreast of developments in relevant technical field. Feedback on all business development opportunities. Lead the preparation of Engineering Drawings using WSP CAD/ BIM Standards and Templates. Agree priorities deadlines with Switzerland Team, organize work to ensure timely delivery. Align work with Quality requirements and maintain Document Control for all work. Proactively raising queries, identifying necessary inputs from others following up. Develop templates and libraries for CAD / BIM work. Role will be working under the supervision of Senior Engineer or Prinicipal/ Senior BIM Modeler. Responsibilities Prepare structural detailed and concept design drawings for various bridges and construction types to be built predominantly in Switzerland. Responsible for BIM and CAD standards, implementation, and enforcement Creation and maintenance of the software template files to assure standards Automate routines to support standards and productivity Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all drawings produced Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards Maximizing utilization on projects Create Revit families in response to project requirements Agree priorities and deadlines for drawing production through liaison with the Project Engineer and Switzerland team Key Competencies / Skills: Cultural awareness, conscientious with an open mind and excellent communication skills are essential requirements for the role. High degree of self-motivation and ability to motivate others. Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision. Mandatory Skills Diploma in CAD or Bachelor s degree Experience of having worked in a similar role. Desired Skills Competence in REVIT/MicroStation/ AutoCAD/Cads RC Qualifications Minimum Diploma in CAD with at least 10 years of relevant experience. It is desirable that the candidate has obtained professional registration such as EngTech with ICE, UK or close to attaining the same.
