DGM / GM - Raw Material, Unit BPU Job Description Formulate strategies and operation plans to ensure availability of raw materials at targeted price. To remain continuously vigilant and well informed with the wood & Bamboo market & competition. Manage Raw material team in field and mill to drive best practices in raw material sourcing and supply chain management. Provide functional leadership at the unit level by aligning raw material volumes, quality and cost of supplies with mill requirement. Prepare Raw material budget and articulate area wise procurement strategies. Control RM cost by using analytics, networking, forecasting techniques and making continuous efforts to minimize procurement costs by way of improving supply chain efficiency. Management of raw material procurement through field depots across India. Managing wood & Bamboo yards efficiently in the mills. Coordination with forest department and forest corporations to increase raw material availability from forest areas whether it is wood or Bamboo. Improve local procurement of RM. Develop robust local procurement network to improve supplies. Review SOP and put up best system to encourage farmers for direct supply. Liaison with vendors to improve the procurement. Explore new unexploited areas in MH & other nearby areas to meet the target qty at minimum possible costs. Continuously working on field area mapping wrt availability & supply mapping for Raw Material so as to assess future forecasts & trends. Ensure documentation & compliance for ISO, EHS and FSC/PEFC/EUDR/SFI as per plan. Evaluate RM procurement from different geographical area with ensuring efficiency of the manpower engaged, should be able to provide continuous guidance and leadership to the team Rationalize manpower in bamboo and wood operation to improve efficiency of RM procurement. Monitor and review performance of subordinate and give appropriate feedback as & when required. Willingness to travel extensively and to remain updated with the firsthand field information.
