Position: Senior Functional Consultant Insurance Domain Department: Business Process Improvements Location: Remote / Hybrid Experience Required: 10–15 years (minimum 4 to 6 years as Functional Consultant in the Insurance domain) Salary: Salary in line with experience and industry practices Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Functional Consultant with 10–15 years of expertise in Commercial Insurance and Property & Casualty (P&C) platforms such as Guidewire (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) or similar platforms like Duck Creek, Majesco, Sapiens, or OneShield . The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business and technology teams , drive functional consulting across large-scale insurance transformation programs, and lead project teams to ensure deliverables and outcomes are met. This role requires strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to guide cross-functional teams from requirement gathering to successful deployment. Key Responsibilities Act as the functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for commercial insurance processes, including policy administration, billing, and claims. Lead stakeholder management activities , ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical delivery. Analyze business needs and translate them into functional specifications for P&C platforms. Provide functional configuration guidance and ensure platforms align with business and compliance requirements. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless implementation and integrations with third-party systems. Conduct requirement workshops, gap analysis, and support UAT with business stakeholders. Map and optimize the end-to-end policy lifecycle , including underwriting, billing, and claims processes. Lead project teams from the front , ensuring timely deliverables and high-quality outcomes . Support integration efforts with CRMs, ERPs, and other enterprise systems. Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle. Required Skills & Experience 10–15 years of total experience in the insurance domain (Commercial/P&C) . Strong techno-functional expertise with Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) or similar P&C platforms (Duck Creek, Majesco, Sapiens, OneShield). Proven experience in leading project teams and managing stakeholder expectations across business and IT. Solid understanding of policy administration, billing, and claims workflows . Experience preparing functional documentation, data mappings, and process flows . Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills. Ability to liaise effectively between business users and technology teams. Guidewire or equivalent platform certifications are mandatory.
