As a skilled developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining e-commerce websites using the BigCommerce platform. Your duties will include customizing BigCommerce templates and plugins to align with business requirements, integrating third-party applications and APIs, and ensuring optimal website performance, security, and scalability. Collaborating closely with design and marketing teams, you will implement user-friendly designs and conduct regular tests and maintenance to uphold high availability and performance standards. When issues arise, your troubleshooting and debugging expertise will be essential, along with staying informed about the latest BigCommerce advancements and industry trends. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with proven experience working with the BigCommerce platform. A strong grasp of e-commerce website development, proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies, as well as knowledge of BigCommerce APIs and third-party integration are crucial. Your problem-solving and debugging abilities, coupled with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively, will be valuable assets. Effective communication skills will also be essential for seamless coordination within the team. Your proficiency in BigCommerce, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, API Integration, Web Development, Debugging, and Performance Optimization will be instrumental in fulfilling the requirements of this role.
