Senior BI Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Development:

  Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade BI dashboards and reports using tools like

  Power BI, Tableau

  , or Looker. You will build and optimize semantic models and reusable datasets to support self-service BI users.

• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

  Partner with business stakeholders to translate their requirements into technical solutions, delivering accurate and timely insights. You will also work closely with data engineering teams to integrate BI solutions with data lake, warehouse, or lakehouse architectures.

• Best Practices & Governance:

  Implement best practices for BI development, including version control, performance optimization, and data governance. You will ensure that all BI solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise data governance standards.

• Mentorship & Self-Service Adoption:

  Mentor junior BI developers and analysts, setting standards for dashboard usability and design consistency. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote self-service BI adoption and data literacy throughout the organization.

• Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:

  Monitor BI performance, usage, and adoption, providing continuous improvements and training to enhance impact.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree with 3-4+ years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with 5-8+ years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in

  BI development

  and

  data visualization

  , with deep expertise in tools like

  Power BI, Tableau

  , or Looker.
• Strong knowledge of

  SQL

  , data modeling techniques, and BI architecture best practices.
• Experience working with data warehouses and cloud data platforms like

  Snowflake, Redshift

  , or

  Databricks

  .
• A solid understanding of

  ETL/ELT

  processes, data pipelines, and integration with BI tools.
• Certifications for

  Power BI

  or

  Tableau

  are preferred.
