Job Description

Role Summary

As a highly experienced BI Architect, you will assume a pivotal and senior role, responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise-level Business Intelligence (BI) governance architecture and reporting ecosystem. This position goes beyond mere report creation; it involves shaping the strategic direction of how data is transformed from complex raw sources into actionable, high-impact business insights that drive key decision-making across the organization. You will be instrumental in ensuring our BI platform is scalable, secure, high-performing, and aligns with best-in-class industry standards.

Role Overview: Strategic Impact and Leadership

You will be a key strategic contributor essential to our next phase of data-driven growth. Your primary focus is to design and architect robust, scalable BI solutions capable of supporting advanced reporting, in-depth analytics, and seamless report integration across various business units.

Specifically, you will:

Define and implement the overarching BI architecture standards, best practices, and comprehensive governance principles. This includes establishing data lineage, metadata management frameworks, and report certification processes.
Ensure the quality, consistency, and security of all reports and data assets across all utilized BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.) through rigorous standards enforcement and monitoring.
Act as the subject matter expert (SME), providing technical leadership and mentorship to BI developers, analysts, and data engineering teams, fostering a culture of data quality and architectural excellence.

Key Responsibilities: Architectural Design and Governance

Your day-to-day activities will encompass a blend of strategic architectural planning and hands-on governance implementation:

Architectural Design and Development

Design and architect highly scalable and performance-optimized BI solutions tailored to meet evolving reporting and sophisticated analytical requirements.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to develop complex data models and the underlying data warehouse structures specifically for reporting efficiency and business context.

Semantic Layer and BI Governance

Collaborate intensely with cross-functional business stakeholders, data governance teams, and technical team members to continuously monitor and enforce organization-wide reporting quality and BI standards.
Define and rigorously implement BI architecture standards, semantic layer, best practices, and robust governance principles across the organization.
Set up, configure, and meticulously manage BI tool workspace permissions, ensuring strict access control through Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), security roles, and user access policies.
Develop and oversee usage monitoring programs and auditing frameworks within our BI tool to track adoption, identify performance bottlenecks, and enforce compliance.
Ensure report quality and data consistency, on our BI platform.

Qualifications Required: Technical Expertise and Experience

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a deep and proven track record in BI architecture and data engineering:

Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence engineering, data analytics, or a related data discipline.
BI Governance Focus: A minimum of 2+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience in BI governance, including formal BI administration, enterprise-level metadata management, and developing/enforcing data quality frameworks.
SQL and Data Warehousing: Extensive expert-level SQL experience is mandatory covering advanced query writing.
