The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in selling FMCG products such as ghee, honey, and staples , with a track record of building brands from the ground up in competitive markets. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a field sales team, develop distributor networks, and drive consistent business growth across both traditional and new-age channels. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Drive primary and secondary sales across MT, Q-Commerce, and Institutional channels. Develop and implement sales strategies to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets. Expand product reach through modern trade, online grocery platforms, and institutional buyers (HORECA, bulk users, corporates). Team Management Lead, mentor, and motivate the field sales team to achieve peak productivity. Set sales targets, monitor performance, and initiate corrective actions where necessary. Channel & Distribution Management Identify, onboard, and manage distributors and super stockists (SS) for the assigned territory. Build and sustain strong relationships with modern trade accounts, retail partners, and institutional clients . Market Expansion & Brand Building Drive new product launches, activations, and promotional campaigns . Spot market gaps and opportunities, positioning startup brands effectively in the geography. Candidate Requirements Experience & Industry Fit 7–10 years of FMCG sales experience, ideally in ghee, honey, staples, or allied food categories . Strong exposure to Modern Trade, Q-Commerce (Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, etc.), and Institutional sales . Prior experience in startup environments or brand scaling preferred. Education Graduate in Business / Marketing / Agriculture / Food Technology (or related fields). MBA/PGDM preferred , but not mandatory for candidates with strong field sales expertise.
