Role Overview The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day project activities at railway project sites. The role involves coordination between internal engineering teams, external contractors, and client representatives. The Site Manager ensures smooth execution of engineering and commissioning works, tracks progress, manages reporting, and serves as the primary communication link with the Head Office. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination: Act as the liaison between internal design/engineering teams, site execution teams, external contractors, and client representatives. Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment requirements at site. Execution & Monitoring: Supervise daily engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning activities as per project plan. Track progress against schedule, highlight delays/risks, and initiate corrective actions. Ensure compliance with railway safety regulations and quality standards. Communication & Reporting: Prepare daily progress reports, work status updates, and site logs. Escalate critical issues to the Head Office with recommendations. Conduct regular coordination meetings at site and document MoMs (Minutes of Meetings). Liaison & Compliance: Build and maintain professional relationships with railway officials, contractors, vendors, and inspection authorities. Ensure approvals, inspections, and certifications are obtained as per project requirements. Facilitate site audits and ensure statutory compliance. Team Management: Guide and supervise site engineers, supervisors, and workers for timely and quality execution. Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) norms at site. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Civil / Mechanical Engineering (as per project need). 5–10 years of site execution and project management experience in railway or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of railway systems, signaling, or project commissioning processes (preferred). Excellent coordination and liaisoning skills. Proficiency in MS Office, project tracking tools, and documentation. Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
