Roles and Responsibilities Prepare high-quality beverages according to customer preferences using various brewing methods such as pour-over, French press, and cold brew. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment to produce optimal coffee flavor and texture. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to health and safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and serving drinks promptly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless delivery of food items. Desired Candidate Profile 2-5 years of experience as a barista or beverage maker in a caf setting. Strong knowledge of different types of coffee beans, roasts, and brewing techniques. Ability to operate various types of espresso machines (e.g., manual vs. automatic) and grinders. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Familiarity with inventory management software for tracking stock levels.

This role is responsible for the full spectrum of beverage operations, from coffee and mocktail mixology to team hiring, training, product development, and beverage curation. Beverage Curation & Product Development: • Design and curate a unique, trend-forward beverage menu, including coffee, tea, mocktails, smoothies, and other non-alcoholic drinks. • Lead the development of seasonal and signature beverage items. • Stay ahead of global beverage trends and incorporate them into menu innovation. Mixology & Coffee Excellence: • Drive excellence in specialty coffee preparation, including brewing methods, espresso-based drinks, and latte art. • Innovate and develop sophisticated, health-conscious, and aesthetically pleasing mocktails. • Ensure beverage presentation aligns with brand standards and enhances guest experience. Cost Control & Inventory Management: • Develop and manage beverage costings and margins. • Monitor and coordinate with the purchase department to manage stock levels, purchasing, and supplier relations. • Analyse sales data to optimize menu offerings and reduce waste. Guest Experience & Brand Representation: • Work closely with the marketing team to promote new launches and beverage campaigns. • Champion beverage excellence in customer interactions and events. • Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and competitions when applicable. Qualifications & Skills: • 8+ years of experience in specialty coffee, mixology, or beverage management, including leadership roles. • Certified Barista Trainer or equivalent credentials in coffee/mixology is a plus. • Deep knowledge of Equipment and coffee from bean to cup, brewing techniques, and third-wave coffee culture. • Creative flair for flavour pairings, beverage trends, and presentation. • Strong organizational and leadership skills. • Proficient in cost control, inventory, and training processes. • Passionate, energetic, and driven by innovation. Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and potential allergens. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment efficiently and safely. Handle transactions using the POS system and manage cash/card payments accurately. Keep the caf clean and organized, including the counter, seating area, and restrooms. Restock supplies and rotate inventory as needed (cups, milk, coffee beans, etc.). Follow all food safety and hygiene standards. Assist in opening and closing duties as required. Contribute to a positive team environment and support coworkers during busy periods. Qualifications: Previous experience in a caf or food service environment is preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
